My friend Charles from Five Euro Food tagged me in a recent post. Thank you Charles, I am so flattered.

Describe yourself in seven words
Perfectionist, Project Manager, Aspiring Chef, Dependable, Logical, Artistic, did I mention perfectionist?
-
What keeps you up at night?
I’m a pretty good sleeper.
-
Who would you like to be?
I am reasonably happy with the way I am, except maybe I’d like to be 10lb lighter!
-
What are you wearing right now?
Brown top with a bright pink camisole, Brown suede skirt, Brown and black tights and my cowboy boots that I bought in Calgary.
-
What scares you?
Identity theft.
-
What are the best and worst things about blogging?
Best: As so many others have said, it’s my new age pen pals. Worst: the overwhelming, all consuming time it requires.
-
What was the last website you visited?
Trip Advisor; we are planning a trip to New York or Chicago in the spring and Europe in the fall.
-
What is the one thing you would like to change about yourself?
Lose 10lbs, maybe 15!
-
Slankets – yes or no?
From the many other blogs I’ve had the pleasure of reading, I sadly now know what this aborition of synthetic nature is, and my answer is definitely, decidedly NO!

Tell us something about the person who tagged you.
Charles was one of my first blogging commentors last year; he lives with his lovely Swedish wife just outside of Paris, is likely some kind of programmer (just a guess), has a cat named Sammy and he has a wonderful blog about his recipes and the occasional day trip that is creative, informative and mostly quite affordable.
…And 5 tags of your choice…
Oh my, it’s a little difficult to tag someone, since I’ve only just met most of you and have no idea whether you have been tagged before, but here goes, participate as you wish…
- Flavour Fiesta – Divya is a fellow Torontian who has a wonderful blog and on line magazine!
- Bunny, Eats, Design is a designer from Australia who has the most adorable bunny name Tofu.
- Back Road Journal belongs to Karen who has moved out to the country and is experiencing a slower way of life.
- A bloke who can cook, posts recipes infrequently and they are usually comforting and tasty looking.
Oops! That’s only four…
Glad to know you on and offline my friend!

Thanks Eva! So lovely to read your answers 🙂 In fact, you’re wrong on one point – I actually work in a project management team 🙂
I’m like you – I can actually sleep through anything… I used to have to have about 20 different alarms from various sources to wake up (and still couldn’t)… now I have my wife for that 😀

That’s cool Charles; you obviously have programming skills beyond the ordinary! I can usually wake up with our Bose, the radio comes on very quietly and then it gets louder! It’s nice and subtle, and not jarring.

Thanks Norma, I linked it back! That walkway looks amazing, but sadly we never have a car when we’re in Manhattan. I’ll keep it in mind though.

Eva, Sounds like you have been to NYC before, if you are driving, you may wish to take a side trip into the Hudson Valley and take a walk on the “Walkway Over the Hudson”. The link is on my blogroll.

I’d love a link Norma. We’ve walked across the Brooklyn Bridge to DUMBO and it was very nice, but I enjoyed it much better walking from DUMBO to LES which we did last May. NYC is one of my favourite cities.

You be stylish, Eva. I shudder to think what I might have to describe wearing if I answered such a question (I am often online quite early in the morning). Identity theft is scary, Charles is fun and I look forward to checking out your suggested blogs.

Ten pounds … 25 is MY goal, especially after just regaining the 10 pounds I had shed in the last couple of years. 😦 I’m very happy to learn more about you in this post.

Eva, When you go to NYC you must visit the high line. Here is the link: http://www.thehighline.org/

Hey Norma, we’ve been there! It was so cool; we we’re there just before the third quadrant opened. It’s such a great outdoor space!

As always, it’s fun to know a little more about you, Eva! I’m with you on the 10 lbs…and how exciting…what part of Europe are you thinking about? Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Betsy! It’ll be a bit of a whirl-wind because I have family in Budapest whom I must see, and I really want to get to Paris again (pop by to say hello to Charles), and then the south of France, maybe Spain traveling around — we’ll have to see the cost of the intercontinental flights to see how doable it will be!

Great answers Eva. I love the sound of your outfit and I would just love a pair of cowboy boots from Calgary. You can learn a lot from Trip Advisor, can’t you. I would love to be planning a trip to New York. I was planning on going there this year to see my sister but she’s just let me know she’s moving to LA so there goes my free accommodation!

Thank you kindly Charlie. LA might be a bit closer for you anyway! The boots were a splurge that’s for sure, but I’ll have them for a really long time.

Identity theft scares me too. It’s far more likely to strike than spiders, seriously. Good to see your answers.

Spiders scare me too Greg, but Chicago John already took that one and I didn’t want to seem like a copy cat. Happy Friday.

Hi Eva, I enjoyed learning a little more about you. I think all us foodies would like to be 10 pounds lighter. Thank you for wanting to know more about me. I was tagged already, my post, Friends, Families and Memories tells all.

Thanks Karen, it’s such a challenge to find new bloggers to tag; I generally like to know a little about the blogger before I tag them to make sure I really want to be associated (you never know these days). Happy Friday!

Well done, Eva! Let me know, should you decide to come to Chicago. I’ll create a list of spice shops and pho restaurants for you, each hopefully in the area you’ll be visiting.
