These are super quick and easy to make. They don’t keep well, particularly if your house is a bit humid so plan to bake them just before you want to eat them or if they get a bit soggy, just pop them into the oven to dry them out a bit.

Deliciously crunchy and cheesy crisps.
Cheese Crisps
A KitchenInspirations Original Recipe
Makes about 12-15 crisps
Ingredients:
- 400 g old cheddar cheese, grated
Directions:
- Pre-heat the oven to 400° F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone matt.
- Spread the cheese out on the matt as thinly as possible so that the grated pieces are interlaced.
- Bake for 4-6 minutes or until the cheese has entirely rendered and is starting to become golden but not burned.
- Carefully remove from the oven and pull the parchment onto a cutting board. With a pizza cutter, cut into wedges. Allow to cool completely. Serve immediately.
Notes:
- I use a rimmed baking sheet because the oils from the cheese may slide onto the oven and burn.
- Parchment may burn so a silicon matt is preferred.
I love these cheese crisps! I remember when I first heard that they were just cheese my mind was blown hehe.

These are absolutely gorgeous, Eva. They would be such a nice touch for a dinner party – which we hope to be having soon! Coincidentally, I just made chocolate triangles to decorate a cake. We should get together and have a triangle party!

What a clever recipe! I would never guess you have used only one ingredient! (By the way, I love the way you have styled the photograph+the title in the middle! I should take lessons!)

These look awesome Eva! I love how you were able to cut them into distinct wedges, so cool. I’ve made parm crisps before but should expand my repertoire:) these would be amazing at cocktail hour (I wouldn’t be able to keep enough in stock, haha) thank you for the inspiration.

One ingredient chips….awesome! Will it work with other type of grated cheese?

Hi Angie, should be a fatty hard cheese, won’t work with soft creamy cheeses.
