Hi Fati, I would suggest that you begin by applying to be a food photographer’s assistant (this is how many of the food photographers in Toronto have made it). I suspect they have all graduated as professional photographers. By becoming an assistant you learn the ropes and get to know some influential people. The industry is very generous in offering advice and help for those starting out. I wish you well in achieving your dreams.
