Sometimes, you just need a simple little sauce for a fish dish and this one fits the bill.
Lemon Caper Sauce
A Kitcheninspirations original recipe
Makes about 200 mL sauce
Ingredients:
- 20 g shallots, finely chopped
- 15 mL EVOO
- 20 g capers, finely chopped
- 150 mL chicken broth
- 20 mL lemon juice, freshly squeezed
- 30 g parsley, finely chopped
- 5 g tarragon, finely chopped
- zest of 1 lemon
Directions:
- Heat the EVOO in a small pan and cook the shallots until translucent. Add the capers, and chicken broth, and boil for 3 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and cool slightly. Stir in the herbs, lemon juice, and zest.
- Serve warm.
It’s simple yet packed with flavor, making it the perfect accompaniment for fish dishes. I think “sometimes” can be repalced with “all the times” for a nice sauce like this
